NRHASA’s Tamlyn Galliers Heads to World Youth Reining Cup 2025 in Italy!

The National Reining Horse Association of South Africa (NRHASA), your Official NRHA Affiliate in South Africa, is absolutely thrilled to announce that one of our talented youth members, Tamlyn Galliers, will be representing South Africa at the prestigious World Youth Reining Cup 2025!

This exciting international event, presented by NRHA, will be hosted in Italy from September 24th to 27th, 2025. It’s a fantastic platform for young riders from across the globe to showcase their skills in reining, a discipline of Western Riding.

What is the World Youth Reining Cup?

The World Youth Reining Cup is more than just a competition; it’s a unique opportunity for young equestrians to experience international-level reining, forge new friendships, and learn from top professionals. Participants typically ride horses provided by local contributors, with a random draw determining which horse each rider will compete on. This format truly tests a rider’s adaptability and horsemanship, as they must quickly build a connection with an unfamiliar Quarter Horse to execute the intricate reining patterns.

It’s a celebration of youth talent and the future of reining worldwide, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship among the next generation of reining stars. For Tamlyn, this means stepping onto a global stage, demonstrating the dedication and skill cultivated through Reining Clinics and Reining Shows right here in South Africa.

Wishing Tamlyn the Best of Luck!

Tamlyn’s journey to Italy is a testament to her hard work, passion, and the growing standard of Reining in South Africa. We know she will represent our nation with pride and talent. This is a truly exciting moment for South African Equestrian sports!

From everyone at NRHASA, we extend our warmest wishes to Tamlyn. Have an incredible experience, soak in every moment, learn, grow, and most importantly, have fun! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
