What is the Program about?


The Beginner Reining Program is specifically designed for riders who are interested in doing reining and have no idea where to start or riders that find the set patterns confusing, difficult, intimidating or simply a rider who wants to start with the basics before they decide if reining is for them and their horse. It is also ideal to start your young horse if you are not a trainer. The patterns run in order and start off with the basics and gradually increases in difficulty to develop the rider and horse team to master the different reining maneuvers. Your next step would be the NRHA Green Reiner Entry Level Program.

Even though, there is no membership required for the Beginner Reining, we encourage to join NRHA as an associated member, to secure reduced entry fees and be part of NRHA, learn more about the rules, events and affiliation.
