ABOUT THE GREEN REINER CLASS

  • Recognizes achievement levels of Green Reiner through Green Reiner Rewards Program. The program awards a Green Reiner Jacket at 50 points in South Africa and a Montana Silversmiths buckle at completion of the Green Reiner Program with 250 points.
  • Family oriented, fun, and educational for all ages of riders

WHAT DO I NEED?

  • ONLY Associate NRHA Membership required

WHAT DON'T I NEED?

  • Non Pro Declarations NOT required with Associate memberships (General members DO have to complete a declaration)
  • Competition licenses are not required
  • Ownership requirements do not apply since records are not kept on horses shown in these classes

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Use NRHA Patterns 1-16
  • The rider can choose to ride with one or two hands
  • The rider can choose to perform either simple or flying lead changes
  • Standard NRHA Rules for legal bits and attire (long sleeve shirt, hat/helmet, boots, western saddle and western bridle)
  • Green Level I – Open to riders who have less than $200 in NRHA earnings, have less than 75 NRHA Youth points and less than 50 Classic Equine Green Reiner points
  • Green Level II – Open to riders who have less than $350 in NRHA earnings, have less than 175 NRHA Youth points and less than 250 Classic Equine Green Reiner points
  • NRHASA records are kept on riders who show in these classes. Results do not count toward NRHA Top Ten or NRHA year end awards.

POINTS SCALE

  • (a) Number of horses to be used for computation shall be those horses actually competing; excluding the number of horses entered but scratched from competition. There shall not be a cap placed on the number of points able to be earned in any one class.
  • (b) Neither a no score nor a 0 are eligible to receive points in a Green Reiner class; however, this does not alter the scale of points for placing.
  • (c) For example: If 20 horses compete in Green Reiner 1, 1st will receive 20 points, 2nd will receive 19 points, 3rd will receive 18 points, etc
